Meet Sophia

Hi Amazing Women, My name is Sophia Estrella and I am a wife and mother of 4 children.  I love Jesus and I love to see women walk in the fullness of their calling & impacting the lives of others in a way they never thought possible. 

 

In 1992, God gave me a vision to start my first business as a college student.  I had a dream to open a camp for inner city kids where they could enjoy activities they normally wouldn't have access to and be restored from trauma and hurt.  I wrote it in my journal and waited for the time for the dream to be fulfilled.   I shared the dream with my husband and together we were excited for what God would do. 

 

But, truthfully, as time past, doubt crept in.  I doubted that this dream would ever come to fruition.  I doubted my calling and I didn't have money or land.  I didn't even know how to start it.  There were times of frustration and me questioning, saying "When God,? When is this going to happen. Did I really hear you?  Did I make this all up in my own head?

 

In the mean time I worked in jobs that helped me build my administrative, leadership and supervisory skills.  It took 19 years before the dream came to pass.  I longed for someone to show me what I needed to to do to make my dream into a reality.

 

I finally had the opportunity to be coached by my boss.  She taught me how to overcome fear and just go for my dreams & walk in my calling, even though that meant leaving my position to fulfill it.  I learned how to build a business from the ground up and I learned to just trust God in the process even when things were hard and I had no money or land to do it.

When the day came to start Camp Restoration, God provided the land free of cost and all the money I needed to get started!   Can you believe it!!! Everything I needed!!
